“The Nuts and Bolts of BSW Education: From Basics to Competency Assessment”

Do you have innovative, up-to-date methods of delivering content to BSW students in this climate of change? Is your newly developed competence-based field program ahead of the curve? Have you developed a sound, proven method for assessing student competence in the classroom or field? Do you have an urban or rural practice innovation to share? If so, we want to hear from you!!!

Cincinnati, where rural and urban landscapes are minutes apart, is a great locale to present papers, workshops, roundtables, and posters on:

-          BSW education… our past, present and future,

-          Teaching in BSW programs,

-          Planned program change,

-          Assessing competence,

-          Evidence based practice at the BSW level.

-          Directing social work programs, and

-          Issues in rural and urban social work practice.

Program tracts on best practices in teaching HBSE, social policy, research, and generalist practice, competency based assessment, and administering a BSW program will be available as well as innovative social work practice methods in urban or rural settings.
